PBOC is
Going Green!
Please
join us in our efforts to make a difference
in our
Parish community:
We have
started recycling with Fisher Recycling, parishioners Kira & Steve
Roff. All parish facilities now have
recycling containers and accept the following materials: cardboard, paper, plastic, glass,
magazines, aluminum and tin. Please
look for the blue or green bins, and help us recycle by placing
these materials in the recycling containers.
ALL items can be commingled in one easy container!!
CALLING
Parishioners to join our “Green Team”: Tuesday,
June 8 at 6 PM – “Green Team Meeting & Recycling Info. Session”. Do you want to learn more about recycling
and going green efforts for yourself, your home, your community or
business? Those who have experience in
this area can attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 8 at 6 PM in the
Parish Life Center. Kira Roff will be
heading up our “Green Team” and organizing efforts to coordinate all different
ways for PBOC to “reduce, reuse & recycle”.

AID TO OUR MILITARY: Your
generosity in donations has enabled us to continue sending care packages to our
men and women of the military. They do appreciate your support. Our Knights of Columbus continues to mail
these packages. As long as we receive your and the Knights of Columbus support,
our military will continue to receive these care packages. Again, thank
you. As always your prayers are
requested for our military and their safe return. – John Glinka
One miracle of Pentecost was that, despite their diversity, each listener
heard God’s word in his or her own language.
The meaning for stewardship is that, by sharing the gifts poured outon
us by the Holy Spirit, we will be empowered to meet the needs of our brothers
and sisters, whatever they may be.

MINISTRY
OF CARE
Let us know of your loved one
confined to home, in the hospital or recovering from surgery and now home. (Hospitals will not give out patient
information, so we have no way of knowing your needs.) Our ministry is to unite the sick and
recovering followers of Christ with the Body of Christ, they are
not ALONE. Please call the parish office
at 237-3428, Christine at 237-2096, or Anne at 237-0401.
OUTREACH
GRACE MINISTRIES is a faith-based, non-profit organization that encourages community
involvement in the lives of our aging population and enables them to continue
living independently and gracefully in the place they most desire. Neighbor to Neighbor is a program of Grace
Ministries that provides basic life support to older adults who want to
remain in their own homes. The Precious
Blood of Christ Outreach ministry has partnered with the Neighbor to Neighbor
program. Typical services include
transportation, medical and quality of life, visitation and reassurance
calls. Perhaps you know someone in need
of their services, or you may consider becoming a volunteer with their
program. Consider becoming a “Carolina
Neighbor”. It’s a way to change
lives…both yours and your neighbors!
Call Joy Hanner at 234-0818 for further information.
