StewardshipGraphicToday’s reading from Revelation offers a vision of the City of God, the new Jerusalem.  “But,” the bishop’s pastoral on stewardship reminds us, “that ‘life to come’ is in continuity with this present life through the human goods, the worthy human purposes, which people foster now.”

ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP FAIR - Stewardship Sunday

Next week, we will be celebrating our commitment to stewardship as a parish and as parishioners at a special 10:30 AM outdoor Mass. The annual Mass will be followed with refreshments and a wonderful opportunity for fellowship. Please join us for this annual event recognizing our commitment to stewardship.

SPECIAL COLLECTION:  Next week you will have the opportunity to participate in the Collection for the Catholic Communication Campaign.  Collection proceeds support a wide variety of media projects that spread the gospel message and connect communities and individuals to their faith and to the Church.  Please contribute generously in the Collection, and visit www.usccb.org/nationalcollections for more information.  Remember, half of the collected funds stay right here to support diocesan media projects.

ATTENTION:  LITURGICAL MINISTERS

It is that time again for us to begin to schedule liturgical ministers for the next quarter.  Please let your chairpersons know by May 17 of any dates you will be away in July, August, & September.  You can do this by going to http://pbocchurch.com/schedule.asp and filling out the form.  Your information will automatically go to all of your chairpersons.  Chairpersons can pick up blank schedules in the office.

HELP NEEDED

A very integral and necessary part of our church's life needs your help!  The Small Altar Linen Committee needs someone to step up to take the one week of the month in the quarter that has five (5) Mondays.  Also, the Altar Guild needs someone to replace Elain Quadrozzi as co-chair to work with Suzanne Harris.  You may express an interest in finding out more about the details of this worthwhile ministry by calling Suzanne Harris 503-8247 or attending the Stewardship Fair and speaking with Elaine Quadrozzi.

MINISTRY OF CARE

Let us know of your loved one confined to home, in the hospital or recovering from surgery and now home.  (Hospitals will not give out patient information, so we have no way of knowing your needs.)  Our ministry is to unite the sick and recovering followers of Christ with the Body of Christ, they are not ALONE.  Please call the parish office at 237-3428, Christine at 237-2096, or Anne at 237-0401.
