AID TO OUR MILITARY: Your response in donating for our military care packages is needed to enable us to continue sending packages. Troops like to receive Pringles, chex mix, chips, granola bars, beef jerky, cheeto’s, peanuts, cheese and peanut butter cracker packs, etc. which can be in bags marked “Military”, and dropped off at parish office. Our K of C members have generously mailed these packages. Your prayers are requested for our military and their safe return.
– John Glinka
“Blessed are they who have
not seen and yet believed,” Jesus says in today’s Gospel. For those who have not
seen to believe, however, we must be good stewards of our faith, living it
joyfully and sharing it generously. Then, in our time too, “men and women in
great numbers” will be “added to the Lord.” (See John 20:29; Acts 5:14)
OLIVE WOOD ARTIFACTS FROM THE HOLY LAND - The Catholic Bethlehem Christian Families Group will be here next weekend, April 17 & 18, to ask for your help and blessing for the native people of the Holy Land in Bethlehem. These families 60 years ago made up 18% of the population, but due to recent events in the Middle East has decreased to 2% in the Holy Land. These families have relied on the income from their religious hand-carved olive wood artifacts to tourists, so this group is bringing their artifacts to sell here in the USA. All proceeds from the sales will be sent back to the families of the Holy Land so that they may be able to keep their homes and provide for their families.

DIOCESAN NEWS
CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL FEASIBILITY STUDY
Precious Blood of Christ, along with the other Myrtle Beach area parishes have begun a feasibility study to determine if the support and potential is there to open a new Catholic High School. The goal of this study is to obtain everyone’s input, feelings and attitudes towards investing in our children’s education. We are asking all families to review the case statement enclosed in this weekend’s bulletin in preparation of next weekend’s Survey Sunday. At that time, you will be given the opportunity to participate in this vital effort by completing a questionnaire that will be provided to you at Mass next weekend. Your participation is an important factor in assisting the leadership in making decisions in moving forward with plans for this project. We are counting on each and every one of you not just for your input, but also for your prayers in this journey.
