StewardshipGraphicAll discipleship involves mission.  The bishop’s pastoral letter on stewardship reminds us, “Every member of the Church is called to evangelize, and the practice of authentic Christian stewardship inevitably leads to evangelization.”

STEWARDSHIP - PLANNED GIVING ANNUAL PLEDGE

Last month, you received a letter from Father Pat regarding your 2010 Planned Giving Annual Pledge Intention.  As we approach our desired response date of November 1, we are pleased to report we are off to a good start.  We are particularly pleased that so many of our parish families are taking advantage of one of the electronic giving options.

For those parishioners still prayerfully considering your Planned Giving Intention for 2010, please consider taking advantage of our electronic giving options. You may already be using electronic funds transfer to pay your mortgage, make car payments, pay insurance premiums, etc. If so, this is a particularly convenient option for you. If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will gain the convenience of not having to write 52 checks a year! Join the growing number of parishioners who are taking advantage of this convenient option. Whichever option you chose, returning the Planned Giving form by November 1 will assist Precious Blood in planning our 2010 budget.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

KOFCSEAL

Many of you have seen the Knights of Columbus actively supporting our Parish and collecting monies for our various charities.  What you may or may not be aware of is the support we give to maintain the religious rights we have come to enjoy over the existence of this great country.

The Knights of Columbus scored an important victory in Federal court in New Hampshire on Wednesday, September 30, when U.S District Judge Steven McAuliffe upheld the constitutionality of the words "under God' in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Our Council consists of 250 Catholic Gentlemen from our Parish.  In this country, we have 1,287,000 members of the Knights. But there are as many as 30 million eligible Catholic men who are not yet Knights.  If you are one of the 30 million won't you please consider joining our council and help us in our many fights for religious rights that people are trying to take from all of us.

God Bless!    - Tom Cardea GK
