Our Easter altar looked so beautiful!  Many thanks to all who donated for Easter flowers in memory/honor of loved ones, and to all who helped decorate the church for Easter - especially Nancy McMahon for her creative designs, and Debbi Hipkins for providing us many of the colorful flowers.

FLOWER INTENTIONS for this week are in memory of: John V. Kuenzle by the Kuenzle Family, and Cecelia Parker by Nancy Boyle.

The 2009 FLOWER INTENTION CALENDAR is posted in the hall by the literature rack in the church.  There are four intentions each week.  Please fill in for whom and from on the calendar. Your donation of $25 for each intention can be placed in the flower envelope located to the right of the calendar.  Please drop your envelope in the collection basket or turn in at the office.  Please call the office if you would like one of these dates.

The Christian community described in Acts understood and practiced total stewardship. St. Paul reports that the believers did not claim anything as their own, but held everything in common, and distributed to each whatever was needed.

“The collection for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal will be taken up next weekend, April 25-26.  The shortage of priests is a growing problem in the United States.  It is further complicated by the lack of funding in home mission dioceses, where parishes often struggle with poverty among parishioners, difficult or isolated terrain, religious hostility, and other circumstances that challenge the practice of the faith. …As the church, we are called to solidarity with our sisters and brothers who need our help to practice their faith right here at home.  Please give generously to the Catholic Home Missions Appeal, and continue to pray for our U.S. mission parishes.” – Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone

Women’s club

The 2009 Fashion Show was a huge success because of the extraordinary time, talents, effort and donations of our members, parishioners and community.  Please visit the parish web site to see the complete list of names.

For those who signed up, the Gullah Basket Class is scheduled for April 21, 2009 at Founders Hall starting at 12:30 PM.  It will take about 4 hrs.

Take 2 Consignment Store has graciously offered to help the Women's Club in our fundraising efforts.  The Warm Up Pawleys Auction night in January was a success, but some members/parishioners may not want to hold on to their items until January.   If you have any household items you no longer need and would like to donate to the Women's Club through Take 2, please contact Barbara Call @ 237-4554.  Please do not take them directly to Take 2.

Women's Club members are needed to make lunches for the Joy School one week in June.  This is a budgeted project.  Two to four women can get together to make a lunch and deliver it one morning of that week.  It is truly a 'joy' to deliver these lunches and see all the happy faces as they watch the food being brought in. Please contact Marlene or Marcia if you are able to help.

To submit information in the bulletin for the Women's Club, Contact Debbie Desh at 235-3742.

Pray With Us…

Jesus, You ask me to leave my old ways behind me. Fill me with true sorrow for the times when I have

wandered far from you and your message.

I know that I will experience the generosity of

your forgiveness when I come to you with the

tears of repentance.   Amen.
