Our troops like to receive Pringles, Chex Mix, chips, granola bars, beef
jerky, Cheeto’s, peanuts, cheese and peanut-butter cracker packs, etc., which

requested for our military and their safe return. – John Glinka
The
Christian community described in Acts understood and practiced total stewardship. St. Paul reports that the believers did not claim anything as
their own, but held everything in common, and distributed to each whatever was
needed.
“The
collection for the Catholic Home
Missions Appeal will be taken up next weekend, April 25-26. The shortage of priests is a growing problem
in the United States. It is further
complicated by the lack of funding in home mission dioceses, where parishes
often struggle with poverty among parishioners, difficult or isolated terrain,
religious hostility, and other circumstances that challenge the practice of the
faith. …As the church, we are called to solidarity with our sisters and
brothers who need our help to practice their faith right here at home. Please give generously to the Catholic Home
Missions Appeal, and continue to pray for our U.S. mission parishes.” – Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone

Women’s club
The 2009 Fashion Show was a huge success
because of the extraordinary time, talents, effort and donations of our
members, parishioners and community. Please visit the parish web site to see
the complete list of names.
For those who signed
up, the Gullah Basket Class is
scheduled for April 21, 2009 at Founders Hall starting at 12:30 PM. It will take about 4 hrs.
Take 2 Consignment Store
has graciously offered to help the Women's Club in our fundraising
efforts. The Warm Up Pawleys Auction night in January was a success, but
some members/parishioners may not want to hold on to their items until January.
If you have any household items you no longer need and would like to donate to
the Women's Club through Take 2, please contact Barbara Call @ 237-4554.
Please do not take them directly to Take 2.
Women's Club members
are needed to make lunches for the Joy
School one week in June. This is a budgeted project. Two to
four women can get together to make a lunch and deliver it one morning of that
week. It is truly a 'joy' to deliver these lunches and see all the happy
faces as they watch the food being brought in. Please contact Marlene or Marcia
if you are able to help.
To submit information
in the bulletin for the Women's Club, Contact Debbie Desh at 235-3742.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CATHOLIC ACTION
YOUTH AWARD -The Knights of Columbus announce that nominations for their
annual Catholic Action Youth Award are being accepted during the month of April.
The Award consists of a cash prize in the amount of $1000 and is given to the
young Catholic lady or gentleman who best serves his/her parish, community and
fellow man. Any adult member of the parish may nominate a young person
for this award and all are encouraged to do so. We are blessed with many
outstanding young persons in our parish who are living what is fundamental to
being a Christian, by what they do, and how they live, in their community
environment. Nominations should be in the form of a "letter of
nomination" that describes the various achievements of the youngster and
reasons for their consideration for this award. All nominations should be

Pray With Us…
Jesus, You ask me to
leave my old ways behind me. Fill me with true sorrow for the times when I have
wandered far from you
and your message.
I know that I will
experience the generosity of
your forgiveness when
I come to you with the
tears of
repentance. Amen.
