AID TO OUR MILITARY: On behalf of those troops we
have supported with military care packages, we thank you. A special thanks to Felix who provided us with
the Christmas decorated bags sent to our troops at Christmas. This program has only been successful due to
those who have contributed and our Knights of Columbus for sending the
packages. This joint effort has been
appreciated by those military who receive them.
Your prayers are requested for them and their safe return. – John Glinka
Like St. Paul in the
second reading, the good steward can say, “I do all that I do for the sake of
the gospel in the hope of sharing in its blessings.”

Thank You…
My family and I wish to thank Father Pat, his staff and all of you who
prayed, called, sent a card, a note, or flowers on the recent death of my
Mom. She was a strong woman whose faith
continued to sustain her throughout her illness. God was merciful in that she passed away
peacefully in her sleep without pain.
She will be greatly missed, but it is comforting to know that so many of
you care and that has helped me get through this sad time. A Prayer Service was held in Florida and we
will have a funeral Mass and burial for her in Connecticut on March 21. I thank you again for caring so much. I am overwhelmed by the kindness of all the
friends I have at Precious Blood.

240 children were
assisted in our first year of service. Expectations are that more than 400
children will find a helping hand this year.
Assistance has been extended to Brithright, as over 2000 diapers have
been provided for their families in a crisis.
Some clothing is being purchased for some children in poor families
targeted by Birthright. We continue to
send children for examinations and eye glasses, as well as for orthodontic
appliances when referred by school nurses and guidance counselors. Boys at the Georgetown Marine Institute have
received warm winter jackets and funds were made available to assist children
in foster care. The new year has seen an
unexpected surge in requests for clothing, baby formula and medical care. A volunteer corps of ladies does the shopping
for teachers and caretakers. With your
generous support, St. Christopher’s will be able to fulfill the need this
year. Donations may be sent C/O Carolina
First Bank, P. O. Box 39, Pawleys Island, SC. 29585. St. Christopher’s Children is Tax Exempt
