We, the members of Precious Blood of Christ Roman Catholic Church of Pawleys Island, believe we have been called by God to use our time, talent and treasure to serve God and his children. We seek to be a community of faith, hope and love under the pastoral leadership of the bishop of the Diocese of Charleston, in union with the pope, and the Holy Spirit.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Precious Blood of Christ  Parish,

Just last weekend we prayed for all those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana and this week , there are now three more hurricanes named that will be affecting North America . Of immediate concern for us in South Carolina is Hurricane Irma. The governor of South Carolinas has declared a "State of Emergency " in Anticipation of the current track of Irma. No mandatory evacuations have been made as of yet for South Carolina . I would like each and all of you to make appropriate preparations for Irma's landfall whether you stay or leave. At this point in time, we are planning on having all our masses for this coming weekend and I will send out another message if there is a change. But I would like to release anyone who is scheduled to serve in ministry at Mass this weekend from their obligation if they are making plans to evacuate. Please be safe and let us pray for one another and assist one another in his time of need.

In Christ

Fr. Paul MacNeil, Pastor
